The man jumped from an anchored vessel south of the bridge around 6 p.m., the outlet said citing Maryland Natural Resources Police.

The victim was thrown a life jacket but could not get it on before he went unconscious, and a Good Samaritan pulled him from the water, reports say. CPR was attempted before emergency crews arrived but was apparently unsuccessful.

This comes after another man, who was fishing with his family, drowned at Sandy Point State Park earlier the same day.
